Oh, friends. Doesn’t it feel . . . good . . . this morning?

The last few weeks have been just politically oppressive here in Michigan. So. Much. Drama. We’ve all been holding our breath. But now . . . we can breathe again.

And the air? It feels so much fresher. And cleaner.

After working several days processing mail-in ballots (me) and working at a busy precinct yesterday (Tom), we’re going to take some time today to just . . . breathe again.

And revel in the power of the people!

Here’s something I read this morning from Kelly Corrigan’s Substack . . .

Of many happy thoughts this morning, the most significant for the health of our country is this: Money lost. Musk could not buy victory. The deep-pocketed candidates could not advertise their way into office. The better funded candidates did not fool the voters.

Which leads me to this happiest, most faith-restoring observation: voters are still in charge here in America.
