Over the weekend, I read an essay on Substack from Anna Brones (an artist I follow) and she had some lovely words to say . . . on fall. I thought I’d share them with you.

“[Fall is . . . ] The season of falling leaves, darkening days, of everything going quiet. Nature’s preparation for the fallow time, the hibernation time. I’ve always loved autumn for this reason. While it can be full and overloaded, there’s satisfaction in tying up loose ends, bringing things to completion, knowing there’s hopefully something quieter on the other side.

I remind myself that so many of those loose ends will stay hanging, a little haggard, a little frayed. Pushed to the side for another day, another season.

This too is part of it.”

Enjoy these very full and maybe kinda overloaded fall days.
Let the loose ends hang.
This, too, is part of it!
