Wakebrite Bandana

Yarn: Barker Wool BFL in the Ballpoint colorway

Needles: US 5

Timing: I cast on in mid-July and finished in late-August 2026.

Notes and Modifications: I knit the bandana exactly as specified in the pattern. No modifications. I did find the linen stitch incredibly relaxing (once I figured out the rhythm of it . . . and had enough “real estate” to be able to easily read whether I was on the knit-side or the purl-side). I was not able to watch TV or listen to an audiobook or engage in any kind of conversation while linen-stitching, so I used the bandana as an excuse to give myself some quiet, meditative time alone with my thoughts– usually in the mornings. Its was a wonderful way to begin my day.

I absolutely love this bandana! Although I am not a fan (at all) of pooling in my projects, I love the way it works with this yarn in this design. I can’t decide whether I love it more on the knit side or the purl side. They’re both truly lovely

And what will I do with it: I’ll wear it as often as I can!
