My days this month have been full . . . but not with “busy stuff.” It’s been a more gentle and quiet December for me. Intentionally. (It’s been a Great Thing for me to realize that the season goes on even if you don’t make any cookies or deck all the halls.) I hope your season has been equally peace-filled — and enjoyed at your preferred pace.

I see some lovely libations and amaryllis! I meant to get one this year but did not, but maybe I’ll come across one next week. Something blooming in February would be nice. But like you say, things happen no matter how “ready” we are.

Well, this looks like a lot of decorating to me. That should give you a hint as to how much decorating I do, i.e. very little since I am the only one here. I love the picture of JoJo, it reinforces that I am not the only pet owner whose pet is generally more comfortable than the owner. I forgot to get an amaryllis this year, but perhaps I can find one next week. They are so nice to have during the winter, especially since my Christmas cactus only has 2 blooms this year. š A very Happy Christmas to you and yours, Kym.

What fun, beautiful pictures Kym. (Love JoJo of course – we should all be so relaxed.). This year we have not decorated – almost nothing, but I am ok with that. I do miss a decorated tree, but I also LOVE the dwarf live tree that Fletch brought home for me. I’ve been busy and running around, but for some reason I feel more relaxed this Christmas than many in the past. A good feeling!
