I am going to try to pay attention to the spring. I am going to look around at all the flowers, and look up at the hectic trees. I am going to close my eyes and listen.

I’ve decided to take a few days away from blogging . . . to pay attention to the spring. No worries — nothing is amiss (well, in my personal little corner of the world, at least ). My life is stable and steady and I’m happy to see spring start rolling in a little more each day. I just have a full plate this week, and need a little breathing room in my schedule. I’ll be back soon. Like . . . next week.
See you then!

The plant in the photo above is a primrose in bud. I started adding primroses to my spring garden a couple of years ago, planting a few more each spring. They’re beginning to spread out and form a little “edging” of blooms, and they make me so happy. I’ll share a photo of them in bloom when I return.

Enjoy your break and enjoy SPRING!!!
I’ve always thought of primroses as happy plants, kind of like pansies. Enjoy the spring!
Happy Spring, Kym. Hope your busy week goes smoothly. Looking forward to those primrose photos.
Plants do make me happy. Even though I do not like to plant them. (Luckily I live in a plant-happy zone. Self-seeding and otherwise.). Enjoy your serene and hopefully joyful week. (There was a question on Jeopardy this week. What did Einstein believe was more important than knowledge? Imagination, of course! Which I think tends to thrive when we let our minds rest and relax, so there, you have Einstein’s permission).
Enjoy your spring! And your few days off to enjoy the paying attention. Spring is the best time (well, it’s always time, but…) to pay attention to the beauty in our world. Spring in Utah is on the wan and I am missing it already. There will be a freeze again this week which might take the fruits that weren’t hit in the last one. But, for now, the skies are clear blue, the trees are all nearly leafed out, even though it is only April and the temps are mild. Summer will be coming in May!
I’ve had primrose as house plants but never planted them outside. I like this idea and can see how they’d make a great little border. Enjoy your spring break!
