Summer is really . . . summering. And I love it!
Summer is my favorite season, despite the heat and humidity and mosquitos and ticks and drastic summer storms. (We’ve really had our share of severe weather here, and that can stop any time. Just sayin.) What I love about summer . . . is ALL the light, long days, being outside without having to layer-up, the lush shades of green, flowering plants doing their thing, and the overall relaxing vibe of . . . everything. There is really nothing I love more that sitting out on my shady patio in the late afternoon/evening (before the mosquitos get too bad) with Tom and JoJo (and for the next 3 weeks, with Erin too) and some sort of cold beverage and conversation. (I dream of just these moments in the thick of winter.) Nothing like it!
Here, see for yourself. . . my camera roll shows what I love best about summer!

Your yard looks exiting. There’s a squirrel face off, and there is Erin, and and Jojo having a nice lay-in. What skies! What flowers! And all the little things that make your yard unique. Thank you for the peek!
I love everything about your garden, Kym. I know it’s a lot of work, but it’s obviously worth it. JoJo is looking good. Erin looks happy. Tom’s doing the man chores. What’s not to love?
It’s lovely to see Erin’s smiling face with JoJo, and I’m glad you get to enjoy her company for three weeks. I also enjoy seeing Tom in the garden. He always seems happy and smiling, even when he’s working hard!
These are the days that I want to bottle to save up for the time when light is narrow and stingy… I am loving this easing of spring into summer. You are so right about the lushness of everything! It is perfection!
