I recently took a bit of a knitting detour.

It wasn’t far out of my way or inconvenient at all.
In fact, it was a fun little diversion!

I’m one of the test knitters for designer Elizabeth Smith’s newest pattern . . . Icebreaker. (The design will be released later in October; this is not a “secret” test knit, so I have permission to write about it.)

This great layering piece was a really quick, really enjoyable knit. Chunky weight yarn. Big needles. No sleeves. It just flew off the needles!

It’s really perfect for chilly fall days.

And there have been enough of those lately, so it’s already getting good wear.
