Ahhh. Yes. When it comes to my knitting lately, it’s all about the little things!
I really don’t have much to share with you, knitting-wise, today. Just a basket of small projects that I’m entertaining myself with while watching World Cup soccer games with Tom. An experimental cotton/linen Sophie Scarf which is . . . not all that promising, actually. (Although it could surprise me, who knows?) My rust-blobs planned pooling shawl. (Which really is endlessly entertaining in a rather addictive way.) And some denim blue skeins for maybe this and maybe that. (This denim blue shade seems to be drawing my eye lately.)
But. . .
If you come back tomorrow, I’ll be able to share the two big projects that have been finished and sequestered for weeks! Yep. Tomorrow I’ll be here to tell you all about the two (yes, two!) test knits I worked on for Elizabeth Smith. (She’ll be releasing the patterns tomorrow – and they are worth the wait.)
How about YOU? What have you been working on lately?

Your projects may be little, but you are busy with several of them, Kym. It’s the time of the year for small, non heat producing knitting, is it not? I like that denim color as well! Looking forward to tomorrow’s reveal
I think your Sophie looks pretty good. That’s a pretty blue color.
I’m working one right now and the stitch gauge is spot on, but the row gauge is way off. Mine is going to have a long area in the middle where there are no increases. I think it will look okay.
Looking forward to seeing tomorrow’s finishes.
Your little knitted things are great and I’m looking forward to seeing the test knits tomorrow. I’m working (still, endlessly) on a dish towel. It’s repetitive but perfect for my week of lots of driving to J&J’s to check on cats.
Mostly these days I’m working on a pair of socks. It’s kind of unexciting, but it’s also possible to see some progress from day to day, which I like.
Oh my! That denim yarn is so lovely. I like the bag, so I hope that’s what you ick to make. Looking forward to tomorrow’s post.
Looking good! I love the color coordination of your basket of knitting
Your Sophie scarf looks beautiful. Those things are so useful. A little something to tie on without making a big deal out of it. Mine is made out of wool in worsted yarn so it will have to wait until autumn to wear it. Can’t wait to see those Elizabeth Smith designs. My trigger finger is poised.
I love this little basket of this and that! Summer time is perfect for exactly that… pick up whatever the mood calls for! I am back flying down the body of my summer Ranunculus!
A friend gifted me a Sofie Scarf and I really love it as it is just the perfect thing for summer chill on the neck. My own knitting is also about keeping warm. Socks, always socks, and I will start a vest soon (my fourth) as they are the perfect layer to keep this body warm all winter. I look forward to your reveals!
The little Sophie Scarf looks very nice to me. If you knit that bag on the Purl Soho website, I hope you write about it. Their yarn is so interesting and tempting. I’m knitting on the same old same old – shawl and mitts. I started some socks as a traveling project and then had to postpone the trip. I set them aside for now.
