Warned you.
This week, my fiber activities were of the needle felting variety . . . as I made sets of spring “mini friends” for each of my kids. (Because they’re never too old for this stuff, y’know?)
I purchased the kits to make these little cuties from Felted Sky. I’ve made a couple of their kits before, and they’re always fabulous! High quality materials, everything you need, and excellent, detailed instructions with photos (and video links). These kits are simple and quick enough for beginners — or kids with good eye-hand coordination (and supervision). (I would have loved needle felting as a kid.)

How about you? What have you been working on this week?
Very cute! My kids would just roll their eyes if I made them bunnies or chicks, but I’m very tempted by the felted Easter eggs (for me).
Your kids must each have a great collection of sweet friends that came from your heart and hands. The little chick is darling and I love the bunny, as well! Great work.
Adorable! Also very useful projects when something is bugging you — nothing gets up pent-up aggression like stabbing something with a needle over and over again!
So cute! Almost better than chocolate for a basket!
Your chicks and bunnies are so cute! I’ve never tried needle felting, but it looks like fun!
Adorable!! I’m another who has never tried needle felting…but the temptation is there…
What darling little creatures. I imagine your kids love to receive those little gifts.
So cute! My daughter-in-law (who isn’t a needle craft person at all) bought a needle felting kit when I dragged everyone into a yarn store a few summers ago on vacation. Not one of these I think, but a turtle.
These are very cute — and I was almost seduced into ordering the eggs on the Felted Sky site. I’ve just finished a stuffed knitted puppy (Waffles) by Susan B Anderson for a great-nephew who is due to arrive in May.
They are adorable and needlefelting is such fun.
Those are adorable, Kym! (and I think your mantle might need one or two….)
XO
I especially like the tufts on top of the ducky heads!
Those are SO adorable! The kids will love them.
Such cute animals.
I haven’t been doing anything but sleeping. Came down with something. Noro virus? Food poisoning? Could be either one. All I know is …………….Covid was easier.
oh my the CUTE … your kids are so lucky!! I think you should start a series reviewing kits – I really value your thoughts on which ones are worth it (or not), how hard they are, how likely I would be to get my project to look like theirs, etc. because your blog posts always tempt me WAY more than the Instagram ads!
