Much as I might wish my spring weather would match the coming spring equinox . . . I really know better. Spring is fickle everywhere. But it’s particularly mean-spirited here in the north.
This has been the view out my window all weekend. Snow. Just a little, not too much. The temperatures are hovering at just-cold-enough-to-snow but not-warm-enough-to accumulate much. Enough to be pretty, but not enough to muck things up too badly. It won’t last long. (Spring snow never does.) But, still. . . I can gripe about it.
“Despite the forecast, live like it’s spring.”

What’s the view out YOUR window?
My view is just GREY! I can tell it’s damp (I can feel it), but nothing is coming down at the moment. I would love just one snowfall this winter/early spring where things get pretty but not sloppy!
It is snowing here this morning as well. Sigh. The ground is warm enough that it is not sticking though. Just enough for a wet, sloppy mess which made for an interesting walk this morning!
I am so ready for spring this year. XO
It is grey, gloomy, and rainy here this morning but it’s supposed to get snowy and windy over the next couple of days. Every year I seem to forget how fickle spring is!
GREY! Deep, unrelenting grey!
It is dark and wet and even a little snowy here today (which I was actually kind of grateful for, because it was originally predicted to be rain but snow meant I could go for my run today!). I will hope for the sun to come out so I can send you some spring-ier pictures of outside!
It’s grey out my window and we’ve got some big storm coming our way. They are hedging on the rain/snow line but I doubt we will get much snow. Lots of wind is also predicted, I’m hoping our power stays on!
Grey grey grey grey grey and more grey. Probably until June!
Our view matches yours! HUGE flakes falling at the moment. I love it. I really do… I think I lived in BROWN for so long, I’m just…thrilled with the change.
Oh wow, and here I thought you were getting walloped! The kids had a late start on Friday because of a few inches and then another 6 inches or so yesterday/last night. The only thing I like about snow at this time of year is that it’s nice & fresh to cover the gray/black yucky stuff. But right now I’d take the ugly stuff and some warm temps & sunshine!!
I LOVE that Lilly quotation! the view out my window is sunshine and wind – the cherry blossoms are swirling around, and even the close to the ground shrubs are dancing.
This morning, the view outside the window was of a few snowflakes in the air. This afternoon the wind died down and the sun came out although it was still cold enough to require winter gear for my walk. The sunshine made for a great walk.
Sunny and windy. But grey skies are always just around the corner lately. Lily must have made that comment when spring was actually spring. In the last decade or so spring has become more like mud season. But her point is well-taken!

Hi! It is absolutely beautiful in the Deep South! The tail of the big storm passed through and we are behind the cold front with perfect blue sky, coolish temps, and all the pollen washed away for a day or two. Trees and shrubs are leafing out, azaleas are in full bloom. Just amazing weather!
Ps. I just requested a copy of the Shipping News from the Public library. I should have it finished in time because we are on spring break this week. 🤞🏻🤞🏻
