I can never quite decide . . .
Did the colors pop up to inspire me?
OR . . .
Or did I plant my inspiration?
It’s a real which-came-first-the-chicken-or-the-egg kind of situation.
Either way . . . I’m loving these colors together!
==========
(Does this happen to you in your garden???)
Lovely together, and I think I recall a Humulus you knit with those colors!
Gorgeous combos! I need to be a bit more intentional with my colors & pairings. It’s a whole new ballgame with the absence of trees now. (Still so sad… don’t get me started… I may never get over it.)
So pretty and, like Bonny, I was thinking of your Humulus!! Our flowers are sort of haphazard- no planning – whatever strikes our eyes when at the nursery.
Oh gosh, Kym! Gorgeous! Just gorgeous!
Right now yes!! The orange hues with bright yellows are fantastic right now! Love your combos!
It’s almost like I’ve seen these colors knit into a colorwork sweater before …
Most of my garden was here when I moved in.
But, the things I purchased and planted were planted with their colors in mind.
In my extremely limited front porch container-gardening (back when I had a front porch) my quaint geraniums by the front door was intentional (and always made me smile) and the deep, dark green leaves of some New Guinea impatiens bought spontaneously for their brilliant color provided a very unexpected cooling effect on some hot summer afternoons. So I vote both! Your plantings are gorgeous! You deserve every joyous outdoor evening sipping your favorite adult beverage.
P.S. Went back and looked. Love that Humulus. We need to bust out with color every now and then! And you provided such a beautiful nature-driven backdrop.
The pinks against the sharp green really work so beautifully together! You must be the master to have so many areas of color and delight!
Nature’s color combinations never fail to inspire me. These plants are so lovely. I am a little more random in my gardening approach.
