Dear friends,
Ahhhh! Another week in this island paradise!
The days are slipping quickly away now, and I already find my trip half-done. I’m having a wonderful time, but even so . . . I’ve got to admit that the scenery is getting a bit tedious. It’s the same old same old, round and round (and round again). I’m looking forward to new sights and new challenges, but will do my best to enjoy these leisurely island days.
Carry on!
Til next time . . .
(Wish you were here!)
Looking good! … and still glad I’m not there with you 😉
The meditative round and round of sleeve island might be the perfect spot right now. At least maybe you can find it so. XO
Lovely. I hope there is a cabana boy or someone on the island to serve a refreshing drink now and then!
I was just wondering yesterday about how your trip was going, Kym. Looking very good. I hope knowing that you are nearing the end will give you the encouragement to continue with good cheer.
Take a break and have a refreshing swim after you are served a lovely drink with an umbrella in it!
Make sure you’re staying hydrated and wearing your sunscreen while you’re on that island!
I’m here with you! Second side of my Cirrus, knit sideways, heading down toward the cuff. 54 more rows of alternating decrease/purl rows (we’re at 154 stitches, heading down to 100 for the cuff). I agree that hydration is key! But I have to be careful in the evenings… Between the adult beverages and the TV watching, I sometimes forget the decrease and have to visit the frog pond. Lovely as they are, I prefer to avoid them this trip!,
Glad to hear your trip is half over! I suspect Sleeve Island is the only island we’d say that about!
That’s a quick romp around the island! On to the next!
It is those island trips that make me question my chosen creative past time, but then I take a vacation (from my island vacation) and the old yearning eventually returns. (At least so far.) (Sometimes it helps if I start giving myself short term goals like 30-60 minutes a day or x amount of repeats. So there is a finite end, and I can go about the rest of my day without guilt hanging over my head that That Thing isn’t being properly attended to.)
That sleeve is looking terrific. I’m an oddball for sure. I do wish I was there with you. I like sleeves because generally it means a sweater is almost finished.
That sweater will be stunning on you! The color will accent your beautiful white hair.l
