Pattern/Kit: Forest Toadstools Mini Needle Felting Kit

Designer: Felted Sky

Materials: The kit comes with everything needed to complete this design, including a mini felting base (which becomes the base for the mushrooms), felting wool, needles, and comprehensive instructions. I added some of the wool I had on hand to add bits of yellow under the mushroom caps and down the stems.

Notes: I followed the detailed instructions included in the kit. As always, the instructions in Felted Sky kits are top notch; very clear and easy to follow. (There are video instructions as well, but I’ve never used them.) I did spend a lot longer on this project than the 3-4 hours indicated in the instructions . . . because I got a bit obsessive and “precious” about those mushroom caps and especially the spots.

And what am I going to do with this, now that it’s finished? Actually, it’s easy for me to tuck these little toadstools in various places in my house, so I think they’ll always have a little “spot” . . . somewhere . . . to make me smile.
