feel like I haven’t been getting to some things that really need getting to.
I can sit here feeling bad about that.
Or I can take in the words of Brandi Kincaid and figure it out. . . one step at a time.
Okay.
It’s Monday.
Time to get going!
=====
Here’s a to a good week for all of us.
It feels like I might need to get to organizing my tax stuff. All the “Important Tax Information” pieces of paper have been arriving in the mail, and even though I quit doing my own taxes last year, I still need to organize everything for our appointment instead of just throwing it in a file folder. So tax information and digital photo organization are what I need to get to.
Oof. Bonny’s comment is an excellent reminder that I need to get going on that as well! Ugh!
I hope this week is the perfect opportunity for what you need to accomplish! XO
I’m pretty much organized on the tax front (just waiting on some last documents and then I will have it all pulled together for our accountant). I DO need to do some cleaning though. Karyn didn’t show the other week (not really sure she is going to work out), so I’ve had the orange oil on the counter for a week now to do the cabinets. Perhaps this afternoon? Sounds like a day to start my engine!
Git ‘er DONE as Larry the Cable Guy would say.
I finally buckled down and re-caulked our shower. I hate that job. Been putting it off for weeks. It took me about 15 minutes. Seriously, FIFTEEN! Getting the gunk off my hands took longer than that. LOL Now it is done . . . well, at least for awhile.
Yes! I did something today that I definitely didn’t want to do . . . I went to work!
Thank God for baby steps. Because some days — like today — it’s all I’ve got! What the heck is with this day? (I thought it was just me and a queasy stomach!) Here’s to a step, maybe two, and just being enough.
This is precisely why I’m a big proponent of to-do lists (and they’re always hard-copy lists, too, because it’s all that more satisfying to cross things off). I will purposely add easy-to-accomplish items to those that will require more time and effort because sometimes seeing one or two things already done is such a great motivator to get moving on the rest.
YES!!! I feel like this has been my mantra for the month (and maybe should be my mantra for every January?)
or maybe just “my mantra”?
Yes to small steps forward. Today I tackled the two lazy susan cupboards in the kitchen. I took everything out, threw away expired (by a year) bulgar and protein powder and then scrubbed down the plastic of some sort shelves with baking soda. Honestly I’ve put that job off for weeks and it took about 90 minutes.
