. . . to make a Tuesday Recommendation!
Carole has started making recommendations on Tuesdays over on her blog, and this week I am “piggybacking” with a recommendation of my own. (Don’t look for these Tuesday Recs from me on the regular. This is likely a one-time shot . . . just because I love these things and want to tell you about them.)
Several years ago, I ordered a Toyo Steel Stackable Storage Box that was available at one of the needlework shops I frequent online (I’m pretty sure it was Brooklyn Haberdashery. . .). I’d been wanting one for a while, but every time I went to order, they were already sold out! Anyway. I finally nabbed one (the green one), and I LOVE it. I use it for my embroidery and hand stitching supplies. It’s sturdy and charming and easy to tote around. It will last a long, long time. Like . . . I imagine for the rest of my (hopefully long) life.
I love it so much . . . that I decided I needed a second one. For my knitting supplies, y’know? So I ordered a yellow one from Modern Daily Knitting’s Christmas pop-up shop a couple of weeks ago. What a nice step up from years of using an old zipper pouch for my knitting tools. It’s handier to tote around, fits easily in my knitting bag, and it’s really easy to see all my knitting bits and bobs and tools now that everything is all nicely laid out in a box (vs. crammed into a pouch).
Best of all . . . they are magnetic and I can “decorate” the inside lids. When I open my boxes, I have an instant moment of happiness and joy. Bonus!

You can find these boxes at lots of places — but you have to be quick about ordering! Pricing is consistently right around $38. Modern Daily Knitting still has them — but only in red. If you do a quick Google search (look for Toyo Steel Stacking Storage Box, T-190), all kinds of shopping options will pop up.
So. That’s my Tuesday Rec: Toyo Steel Stackable Storage Boxes.
All the love.
All the stars.
(You deserve one for your favorite knitting/stitching notions!)

I look at those boxes and wonder about adding one to my tools. The magnetic bit is very enticing.
