Well. Here we are! It’s the end of the road for my December Cup o’ Kindness series. I hope you’ve enjoyed waking up to these “cups” every day in December, and I hope you’re feeling (somewhat more) fortified as we head into the new year. I decided to end this series off with a song I’ve been singing in my head from the very beginning . It’s not a well-known song, but one I particularly like . . . and one that is suited to the entire point, really, of my going on about filling our cups . . . so we can fill other cups.
The song is called We Are Each Other’s Angels, and while it was written by Chuck Brodsky, I know the song as it was performed by Sara Hickman . . . on a random CD I bought back in 2000. I like the themes . . . watching out for each other, taking care, offering support. Because . . . we really are “angels” for each other. Or we can be. And I think it’s time we do that (be “angels” for each other) in an intentional way as we move forward in the new year.
==
Think of yourself as an angel.
We meet when it is time.
Sometimes you’ll stumble – sometimes you’ll just lie down
Sometimes you will get lonely – with all these people aroundBut we are each other’s angels – and we meet when it is time
We keep each other going – and we show each other signs…
Come.
Fill your cup.

Thank you for being here with me this month. I appreciate your comments and your emails and your support . . . so very much. Writing a blog post every day takes a lot of commitment and quite a lot of brain space. I’m tired. And ready for a little break now. I may throw out a post or two before the end of the year, though, to tie things up for 2024.
I wish you all a lovely holiday, however you celebrate these days at the end of the year. Keep taking deep breaths, my friends. Flex your kindness muscles. Fill your cup.
Merry Christmas, Kym! enjoy your blogging break … looking forward to seeing you back here when you’re ready!
Thank you so much, Kym. For bringing all these much needed cups of kindness… I am carrying them all in my heart into the new year. I wish you and Tom the happiest of Christmases and an even brighter New Year! XOXO
I’m offering my thanks, too, for the idea and lovely execution of your Cups of Kindness. I do feel somewhat more ready to face 2025 and what it might bring. If I falter, I’ll breathe and try to work the kinks out of my kindness muscle. Wishing you and your family a lovely and peaceful holiday season.
Thank you Kym for this beautiful gift you have given us these past few weeks. Happy holidays to you and Tom and your family.
I will listen to that song as I work in the kitchen today. Thank you for this lovely kindness advent calendar. It has been such a bright spot every day for me and this month has been better because of your thoughts and words and kindness. Merry Merry and Happy Happy! XOXO
You have been my angel this month, Kym. And you don’t even know me! Your kindness has come when I truly needed it. Take a long break, practice lots of self-care, and have lovely holidays. If happiness is magnified by helping others, you should be delirious by now. XO
Merry Christmas Kym! Happy holidays to you and all of us in the comment section. Thank you for the many cups of kindness.
