Dear friends,
Yes! We’ve arrived! And I can already tell this is going to be one of those adventurous vacations. Yes, decreasing while maintaining an unforgiving lace pattern will preclude napping on the beach while sipping piña coladas. But now that we’ve gotten a feel for the place — and adjusted to the jet lag — it should be smooth sailing on what promises to be a long trip.
Til next time!
PS . . . Wish you were here.
I wish I was there, too, Kym, so that I could chat when you come to an end of the row, so I could watch your expertise in traversing sleeve island, and so I could lend you moral support. I love lace, but I can’t say that I enjoy knitting it. I think you are really going to like this sweater.
I am also on sleeve island – fancy meeting you here 😉
You make it sound like such a fun place to visit! (and 😉 I know better) Still – I’d love to be sitting with you drinking coffee … and chatting about the view. Hope your stay is an easy one.
Have a fun time!
May your stay on Sleeve Island be only long enough as it needs to be!
I heard that Sleeve Island was an iffy vacation spot! I hope the cabana boys at least bring you some nice wine when you’re done knitting for the day and you view some lovely sunsets during your time on the Island.
I’d say enjoy your vacation but . . .
I’m with you on that unforgiving lace part. Enjoy the view (if you can).
I am laughing both at your post (which is just so smart!) and the comments (which are just equally brilliant!) I sure hope those Cabana Boys don’t talk while you are counting! I think that Rupert Holmes song was missing a verse… If you like piña coladas and knitting sleeves on the beach!
